PDV's majority investor is Smedvig Capital, a London based private equity firm focussing on early stage and expansion capital with expertise in a number of areas including information management. Since its formation in early 1996, it has comitted aproximately $250M to more than 50 investments.

Partnering Smedvig is Wand Partners, a New York based venture capital firm focussed in the data management area.
